Rubber connector for tailgate flexible cover/shelf

My 2023 Disco 5 has a short flexible cover attached to the tailgate, to meet up with the extending load cover. There is a large central substantial clip holding it in place but a flat piece of Land Rover branded rubber each side with lugs that have broken. Anyone know what these pieces of rubber are called, what the part number is and the best place to get replacements? (Picture shows on with the lugs broken off.). Looks like I should be able to take the cover apart to fit new rubber pieces if I can get them. Thanks.

At last Just found “Car Rear Trunk Sunshade Clip Tailgate Curtain Buckle Small Holder For Land Rover Discovery 5 L462 2017+” from aliexpress which is what I need, also found on Amazon but very expensive.

I noticed one of the lugs on mine broke within a couple of months of ownership. I went to the local dealer to order a replacement, but they said that part wasn't available by itself, and I'd need to buy the whole 'short flexible cover' with the main central clip and two rubber lugs each side as one. Cost was over £200.

At that point, it was the end of the conversation. It seemed to hold fine with one lug missing, but with two, I can see it probably won't. Even so, I took the part off completely, left it in my garage, and haven't missed it one bit.

(BTW, welcome to the forum! Posting pics is a right hassle on here, and not at all easy. Your pic didn't show up, for me at least)

Thanks for the response. I don’t think I put a link just mentioned Aliexpress and Amazon. At the moment I am probably just going to take the sun shade out as if I replace the rubber I expect they will break again because of the dog cage in my boot most of the time.

Well I'll let you know if the bits I ordered (and yes, found it via a quick Google, thank you) are any good. I'm certainly not expecting them to be Genuine LR parts Laughing

But let's see if they fit!

I noticed the estimate was 4-28 Jine when I was looking but end of July is very slow.

The reason the Amazon (and Ebay) parts are more expensive is that you'd be paying for the complete L shaped side brackets (x2) which include the little rectangular clips or lugs. I had hard plastic type clips on my 2017 HSE and the left side one was broken when I bought the car. I ended up just scanning the broken clip as well as the right side one and 3D printing replacements in slightly more flexible ABS plastic.

With AliExpress, you're only paying for the 2 little rectangular-ish clips...which is a good thing since they're the parts that seem to always break... a good thing aside from the shipping times from China. The replacement clips are also made out of rubber instead of plastic so they'd be less likely to break again (in my case). I was tempted initially to just buy the rubber replacements since they were cheap enough...but for all the creative effort it took to 3D print a pair (left and right) in ABS, it was a no brainer. Saved myself the cost of a big jar of Douwe Egberts Laughing

The clips and brackets are also available separately from Alibaba.com and a few other sites in the US...but you'd have Trumpy tariffs added to the shipping costs of course Rolling Eyes
