Rubber connector for tailgate flexible cover/shelf
My 2023 Disco 5 has a short flexible cover attached to the tailgate, to meet up with the extending load cover. There is a large central substantial clip holding it in place but a flat piece of Land Rover branded rubber each side with lugs that have broken. Anyone know what these pieces of rubber are called, what the part number is and the best place to get replacements? (Picture shows on with the lugs broken off.). Looks like I should be able to take the cover apart to fit new rubber pieces if I can get them. Thanks.
At last Just found “Car Rear Trunk Sunshade Clip Tailgate Curtain Buckle Small Holder For Land Rover Discovery 5 L462 2017+” from aliexpress which is what I need, also found on Amazon but very expensive.

I noticed one of the lugs on mine broke within a couple of months of ownership. I went to the local dealer to order a replacement, but they said that part wasn't available by itself, and I'd need to buy the whole 'short flexible cover' with the main central clip and two rubber lugs each side as one. Cost was over £200.
At that point, it was the end of the conversation. It seemed to hold fine with one lug missing, but with two, I can see it probably won't. Even so, I took the part off completely, left it in my garage, and haven't missed it one bit.
(BTW, welcome to the forum! Posting pics is a right hassle on here, and not at all easy. Your pic didn't show up, for me at least)

Thanks for the response. I don’t think I put a link just mentioned Aliexpress and Amazon. At the moment I am probably just going to take the sun shade out as if I replace the rubber I expect they will break again because of the dog cage in my boot most of the time.

Well I'll let you know if the bits I ordered (and yes, found it via a quick Google, thank you) are any good. I'm certainly not expecting them to be Genuine LR parts
But let's see if they fit!

Well, you learn something every day. I didn't realise you could do all of that with one at home... That's my daily learning sorted! Super impressed!
PS - when you can 3D print a complete Discovery5, let me know!

Well forget the July estimates, they turned up today. They look and feel identical to the Genuine Land Rover part, save for a missing LR logo. Either way, fitted tonight in seconds and works a treat.
Thanks again for flagging this, chuffed to finally have this part back on the car!

When an item is in the load space, which is higher than the loadspace cover and close to the tailgate, to prevent damage to the connectors, are people removing the tailgate blind (as per the iGuide)?
In the iGuide it also says "The powered tailgate can also be manually opened and closed, if required" it is assumed that "manually" means non-electrically powered.
While the tailgate could be closed non-electrically by hand, I can't see how the tailgate can be opened without pressing a button which would cause it to be electrically opened.

You still need to press the button to open the locking mechanism, so yes...it still needs some electrical power (as far as I know). Once the lock is unhitched, you can manually raise the boot lid and close it by hand. If you press the button but keep hand pressure against the door it cancels the automatic raising and stops. You can then raise it manually.
As for the boot door flap thing...I've never needed to remove it when putting large volume stuff in the boot with the loadspace cover removed. It doesn't seem to get in the way. It's flexible so if it catches on anything, it just folds up or down. With the rear door being sloped in at the top, it's rare than any large item fitting in the boot will catch on the door flap thing as it's level with the loadspace carrier at the bottom of the rear window where theres usually a bit of wiggle room left when the boot lid is closed.
