Well went on a ferry ride probably the last until spring as the river is really getting frozen over, the ferry was actually breaking the edge of the ice flow to keep the channel clear. Shades of RMS Titannic

Drove over 500 miles to Falmouth and back to collect my daughter from Uni and being her home for Christmas.

    D5 was the perfect cruiser.

    Love this thing !

Drove 600km to Switzerland:) very smooth drive, I really love this car! No problems, just cruising!
Here we are with 40cm of snow from the last few days and it handles really well. The terrain response program set to snow/mud and it drives as it were on rails.
The Pirelli Scorpion tires were a good choice!

Loving your work sir, was it a kit or a bespoke bit of arts and crafts?

Looks good, can you drop the netting if you need the extra space?

Is that the standard Pirelli scorpion verde all season or did you change to pirrelli winters?

Yes you can easily unclip & remove. See fitting instructions.

It is the Pirellii Scorpion Winter (275/45R21 110V PIRELLI Scorpion Winter), I keep the wheels all year and I only change the tires. They cost around 300€ each and I really can‘t complain. I have the standard Continental tires, and they come without the mountain with snowflake symbol, so they won‘t be any good on snow and ice.

On my previous X5 I had Bridgestone Blizzak with runflat... well no they weren‘t that good, so slippery in wet roundabouts... and the new tires with this perfect car... no problems.

i first looked for original LR wheels, but they are way too expensive and I didn‘t find any good looking black wheels from another make so my decision was quite easy to keep the wheels and change 2 times a year the tires Very Happy I hope they will not get scratched, but the first change went good so far ...
