Had I read the manual, I would have been aware that no matter how hard I push the wrist band against the letter “D” the car will not unlock without first activating the receiver by pushing the tailgate open button Rolling Eyes

So I unlocked the car with the remote app -gained entry to the car, hit the start button, to find that my keys are now“disabled” by the wrist band - oh how I laughed while I sat back to finally put a crease on the spine of the nice new manual while I tested how many people I could upset with the beautiful tone of the alarm.

On the upside, I am now very confident that leaving the keys in the car while off with my activity wrist band poses no more of a car theft risk than if the keys were in my pocket. Thumbs Up

    So, how typical!

The warmest day of the year for the UK, the sun is shining and my D5 is clean and shiny..... And in the dealership for a warranty repair! Big Cry

...And what loan car am I given!? A bloody basic, run of the mill, manual Disco Sport! (No disrespect to the DS guys, but its just not my D5!) Mad

The worst part is that the dealership have said that they may have to involve LR Technical, so I may not get my D5 back until mid next week! Big Cry

...Bet it'll be raining by then!

Mines in too for a refresh of the ICTP Phase 3 update and to have the row 2 single seat frame replaced (it won't slide anymore). Been in since yesterday AM due to JLR's poor software update process being so unreliable.

Not got a base loan DS though but a rather lovely top end Evoque to drive Mr. Green

Its in due to the internal alarm sensors not working. Had LR Assist out for an hour to tell me this, after I diagnosed it myself.

Quite obvious really, unlock the door and the car beeps twice. Sit in the car, lock the doors twice (to switch on the internal sensors) - move around after a while, but nothing gets triggered...The manual tells you that the two beeps when you unlock and unarm the alarm means that theres a sense fault somewhere. If you set the alarm with one button press, open the door and the alarm goes off, so it had to be interior sensors.

I'm hoping they find a stray wire, or something easy as i'll get my car back faster!
