[quote="HDFB110"]What was amazing was that the car now showed 1 mile less than when I dropped it off ??

I'm not sure how this is possible...in the US rolling back an odometer is illegal and it even drives how dashboards and the computers in them now are constructed.

Is this not the case in the UK?

    Just say

It’s clear that Landrover have been unable to provide you with the necessary technical guidance to resolve this ongoing issue

Therefore the car is not as described, of unsatisfactory quality and not fit for purpose. So you have no option other than to reject the car. Make sure you cc in Landrover customer care ( include the case number)

Landrover customer care should provide you with the senior sales manager email to send this to.
    Good luck

Mine was rejected in approx 4 weeks, I had owned it for 15 ish months

I’m trying to reject it since day 1, 6! months ago, they are stil looking at it and are trying to find a ‘positive outcome’, but they asked a little patience from my side.

If no ‘positive outcome’ will be given, I will post their written communication on this site. You might be surprised.

The car has been in now for the last month as a whole and numerous times before that as well.

i rejected a Disco Sport in 2015 that i bought new, i was challenged by both Land Rover and the dealer who both said 2 months after i took it back that neither were aware of the fact that it had been rejected... I wore a Body Worn camera "Covert" that recorded the whole handover, it was clear from the apologetic footage that i had that i rejected the car ! All i'm saying is don't leave anything open to interpretation when you take it back ! you might need to make them aware of the fact that you are recording the handover for legal reasons. This will also assist in case you need to post the footage on line at a later date.

My mileage is being hammered right now due to the cold weather we are having, i,m down to 1,600 miles till service and i've not driven 2.000 miles yet since it was last done ! i will be donning the camera again shortly and taking mine back.

As i've said before if i'd have taken the car and NOT kept up paymenets but continued to use it they would soon be chasing me so i dont see why we should be left with something that they've failed to engineer correctly. Not only that there is an environmental issue which relates to oil being utilsed at an astonishing rate !

Keep us all posted and if so lets arrange a National hand your car back day !

Mine is on its absolute last chance.
    11,000 miles. 3 oil services.
It’s had N222 v2 update and so far is performing as I think it should.
I’m tentatively holding my breath as I don’t want to replace it with a land cruiser.
If the early service warning appears again. It’s rejection.

well well just checked it and since it went for the "software update and oil and filter change" on 13th Nov it came back with 10k to next service.
550 miles later and now saying 9500 to next sevrice...SO...looks like so far so good Rolling Eyes

BUt topix still showing as N222 still outstanding.. Question Shocked

Outstanding campaigns can take a while to update on topic. Often a week or two

Probably dealer related delay in updating the system.

Glad it appears to have fixed yours

Too late for me though. It was rejected

I'm not sure, Theyr'e looking at it now !

Think i was one of the first to recieve the update, I've had that many i dint think it knows what or when to regen, Drove to Twickenham last Saturday, 300 mile round trip, 7,800 miles to next service but when i got home it came up with an early warning.

I left it overnight expecting some kind of algorythm to rectify itself, in the morning i had gained 1,350 miles which disapeared when fired up, along with my sat nav, phone prep and patience !

I'm really hacked off to be honest !

Drove down the A1 clear roads with oprtunity for it to regen itself and when i hit hanger lane on the North circ SAT IN TRAFFIC it decided to start shaking violently, puthering smoke out of the engine bay and gassing us inside... Presumeably this was some kind of an attempt to regen ?

BRILLIANT ! way to save the earth and reduce oil stocks !

    Thud

I've come to the conclusion that Battery power maybe the way to go after all, it's almost like we are in the infacy of the internal combustion engine, but no, some genius has decided that taking something and tampeing with a perfectly good engine is the way to make things more efficient and more environmentally friendly ! I dont get it !!! If that were me i'll guarentee that id have lost my job if id gone to work and formulated such a bad job on making something better !

Looking more likely that I’m in need of the V2 update then.

If anything V1 made it worse, From what I can gather and I’m by no means an expert... apparently the engine in D4 guise was great, however in an attempt to reduce emissions the head engineer was tasked with fitting only one but a larger turbo to an existing power plant, that’s basically according to my source where the problem starts and finishes.

And why the 2019 has 2 turbos again, albeit from the RRS and as seen elsewhere on this forum to date without the dreaded dilution issue.

    Thx for this one Indus!

I was wondering if other makes have the same rate for software updates?

On my Swedish and German cars I was never aware I can safely say.
