• Mmm, having said that I've just measured a full supply on pins 5 & 7 which are the two side feeds.

• It's a swift van with normal bulbs.
  
  Looking at the van wiring diagram the two sides are fed separately from the car, so likely to be the car at fault I would think.

• I might be mis-remembering this, but I think mine didn't fold when I first got it, and thought that was a backward step from the D4. Sure I found a menu item for it as they fold now.
