Not sure if the servicing is different over there, but here I think the 3L has 16000 miles / 12 months service, whereas the 2L has 20000 miles / 24 month services.

When I had an O2 sim, I had to login to the O2 site and activate it first. Similar thing with the Ubigi sim LR provide for first 3 yrs.
